Geoff Todd’s experience in technology commercialisation dates back to 1986 when he ran a small technology investment fund for the then Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Geoff is currently Managing Director of Wellington UniVentures and on the Board of the MacDiarmid Research Institute, two start-up companies, and Chairman of a large medical practice. He is actively managing or directing commercialisation processes at NZHIH and the Forest Growers Research Ltd, as well as Wellington UniVentures.

He has international Board experience, having served as Director on two Cooperative Research Centre Boards in Australia, and an engineering services company in Singapore.

Geoff is an active business angel ─ an informal investor who provides capital for business star-ups) ─ and has founded two companies, as well as having led a further three start-ups derived from research organisations. He was Chairman of Creative HQ, a successful startup incubator in Wellington and, until recently, a Director on the Board of Kiwinet Ltd.
